Description
Potato Flakes for PDA Agar (80g)
Potato flakes are the key ingredient for making your own Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) at home — a reliable, nutrient-rich agar recipe widely used for mushroom culture work, cloning, and spore germination.
How to Make 1 Litre of PDA Agar
To make approximately 1000ml of PDA agar, combine the following in a 2000ml jug:
- 1000ml boiling water (distilled is best)
- 20g potato flakes
- 15g agar agar powder
- 10g cane syrup, maple syrup, or sugar
Mix thoroughly, sterilise, and pour into petri dishes or agar pots while still liquid. This 80g bag provides enough potato flakes for multiple batches of homemade PDA agar.
